JOSHUA'S COMING

In Deanna's wildest dreams, she never imagined that it would have taken her and her husband this long to conceive a baby. She was sure that God had told her four years ago during one of her morning devotions that it was time to get off the pill and prepare for motherhood. Had she mistaken her fantasies for His voice? Were they similar enough to confuse?

In this powerful tale inspired by the author's life, you will follow the Carringtons on a journey through the pain and turmoil associated with barrenness. Ultimately, infertility is the exterior issue that impels them to focus on the true root of their problems. You will ride the waves with the Carringtons and their friends as their faith is tested when tragedy hits and they have to make decisions that change their lives forever. Through their ordeal Deanna and James learn what it really means to put their faith in God and to completely stand on His promises.

I am grateful to the author Rhonda White for introducing me to Deanna. Deanna is the main character of this novel. While reading the book I became deeply attached to Deanna, who from the beginning became my heroine. Her struggle was bitter sweet but her vicotroy was a fullfilling blessing. The story within the novel is more than a religious testament, it is a spiritual guide of faith. I enjoyed the language and style of the writing. In each chapter I paused to contemplate the message that came every several pages. It's very worthwhile reading and I rank it a five star book.
